A tabletop RPG of eldritch remnants, handmade player magic of forces no mortals should ever have the right to meddle with, and a fateful conflict between all fragmented nations of an abandoned world.

A being beyond comprehension wanted only to be seen. Humanity never looked up.

Now her body lies across a broken world, her child left confined at the darkest edges of the universe, yet her hate permeates creation and life itself.

ABOUT THE GAME

Convergences is set on Kigazdar, a continent fused together by Crystalline Flame and then shattered by the fall of a dead entity of creation. From within her flowed the Crystalline Water, flowing through all matter in its constant state of existence and pre-determined laws that establish a perfect system for the universe to follow, yet carries her hatred and spite within blood and matter that breaks the systems of reality and dimensions. Its opposite is the Crystalline Flame, the essential energy of destruction and chaos to allow the flow of existence to never stagnate, and also a grieving gift that lights only within the souls of those who have lost something of immense magnitude to them, a grief forever bound within the Flame resembling the entity who granted it to humanity in the first place.

Both are forces no mortal should ever have had the right to touch. Both have been granted by an irreparable mistake.

THE WORLD

• Eldritch forces twist and afflict the world. A dead incomprehensible being mutates the world and its denizens. Fauna becomes mutated by the altered flow of the universe, flora can think, and geology itself becomes alive and mutated.
• Every fantasy race is a cruelty of a humanity that no longer exists. Elves, goblins, orcs, and demons are cruel mockeries of humanity, designed by a creator who hated it. Races have unique abilities befitting of their cruelty.
• Her unfinished designs still roam. Failed, half-made, and without purpose, they are monsters that were never meant to exist, and now terrorize those who are complete by taking away their wholeness.

MAGIC YOU MAKE YOURSELF

There is no spell list.

Two years ago a colossal hand reached toward the heavens, and the world learned that the forces under its feet, body and head could be used. Nobody has the full picture yet: not the nations, not the scholars, not you. You are given concepts and mechanisms, never finished spells. You carve your own magic from the ground up, and you find out what works by trying it, surviving the result or finding the rare few that know more than the rest, and learn knowing many more are becoming much more dangerous.

HARSH. REWARDING.

• - Roll pools built from what you are doing and how you are doing it, creating your own class by the actions you take
• - Wounds climb instead of draining (HP goes up), and every part of the body has its own limit
• - Every use of the Flame within leaves something behind, and it builds toward an affliction of the soul, mind and body 
• - No XP. You grow by being pushed and by what you lose
• - A character's death is not the end of their story
• - Immersive and adaptable crafting system
• - A mockery of medicine becomes a dangerous tool to alter bodies
• - Alchemy indirectly interferes with the flow of the universe, creating shortcuts to converge, renovate and create matter from formulas of religious science

A WORLD ON THE EDGE

No two nations are on good terms. Languages, economies, and customs are barriers you have to cross. Every kingdom races to understand the forces beneath it, and every discovery brings the war that could end the world closer. Play with that war on a clock, or in a world that only feels like it's about to break.

 TWO KINDS OF DREAD

The Crystalline Water is cosmic. It is vast, incomprehensible, and indifferent to you in the way a flood is, affecting geometry and dimensions able to shatter Mind and Body alike.

The Crystalline Flame is personal. It is the quiet wrongness of familiar things: cracks across the world where you last loved someone, and memories that you thought were yours. It knows what you lost, and it urges for more to be lost in relieving abrupt destruction.

Creator notes: Hello! This has been a world that has been cooking up inside my head for years at this point, where opposites and all that should never mix together form into a convergence of chaotic fun magic! At first, all of this would have been a manga series, but after some careful thought (and realization of my lack of art skills…), I decided that a TTRPG would better represent my dream, and that is of all this accumulated creativity inside my brain to find a place within people’s souls, to inspire them to create their own beloved fiction… So what better place to do that but live in the world of Kigazdar itself with a character of their own making?

Well, that’s pretty much it, I hope to find a team that has genuine interest in my worlds (yes, this is not the only one inside my head!) and build a famous and loved TTRPG franchise that can hopefully get many people that can help with layout, editing and playtesting! As it would be the best thing of my life to see my work be put into real pages, animation, movie or pretty much anything!
